I founded Altered Athletics in 2019, inspired by my own journey of transformation. In high school, I struggled with substance abuse, but everything changed when I discovered the power of fitness. The false confidence I once sought in drugs and alcohol was replaced by genuine self-assurance, forged through daily dedication in the gym and a commitment to taking control of my health and life.

This profound shift not only led me to become a world-ranked powerlifter but also to earn a bachelor’s degree in Fitness & Wellness, coach strength and conditioning in Australia, and travel to 17 countries documenting fitness around the globe. Ultimately, it fueled my passion to become a certified personal trainer and gym owner.

At Altered Athletics, my mission is to empower every woman who steps through our doors to gain the confidence they deserve. Fitness has the power to change lives, and I’m here to help each woman discover that potential within herself.

With 13 years of ballet training starting in childhood, I developed a strong foundation in discipline, strength, and body awareness. My fitness journey took an exciting turn when my mom introduced me to powerlifting, sparking a passion for strength that inspired me to earn a Bachelor’s in Sports Science from Arizona State University.

Now, as a personal trainer, I’m committed to helping women lift heavy, build confidence, and redefine their relationship with fitness. Whether you’re just starting out in strength training or ready to elevate your routine, my mission is to empower you to embrace your strength—inside and out. Let’s break barriers together and build the confidence you deserve!

Katerina Wilson

Hi! My name is Katerina, and I graduated from Grand Canyon University in 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. With over 10 years of experience as a swimmer and three years as a swim instructor, I’ve developed a deep passion for helping others fall in love with movement.

Fitness has truly changed my life, both mentally and physically, and continues to inspire me to help others build strength, resilience, and a positive relationship with movement beyond the gym. I am looking forward to supporting you alongside your fitness journey!

Originally, I am from Bend, Oregon. Back in 2020/2021, I was a client at Altered Athletics when I moved here and quickly realized how much I loved the gym and being able to show up everyday with discipline and consistency for myself.

From that moment forward, I realized I wanted to be a personal trainer and help other women build confidence in and out of the gym, as well as building strength physically and mentally just like Altered Athletics did for me in the beginning of my fitness journey, so I got my NASM certification and began coaching!

The most fulfilling part about being a coach is seeing clients transform not only their bodies but their mindsets. You are capable of getting better at anything!

I am here to make a positive change in your fitness journey and get you results!

Paris Wright

Hi, I’m Paris Wright, and I’m so excited to be part of the team! I spent eight years as a competitive gymnast and two years in cheerleading, which built the foundation for my love of strength, discipline, and movement. I earned my Associate’s Degree in Exercise Science from Scottsdale Community College to further my understanding of the body and how to help people train smarter and stronger. Fitness has always been a place where I feel safe and grounded, and it’s helped me maintain a positive mindset in every area of my life outside of the gym. I’m truly passionate about empowering others to become the healthiest, strongest version of themselves, and I’m here to support you every step of the way!

Madison Germaine

Hi, my name is Maddy Germaine! I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. I moved to Arizona to attend ASU and never looked back! I’m an NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach, with a passion for fitness that goes beyond my own training and nutrition habits. I genuinely love helping others discover the confidence, discipline, and fulfillment that come from taking control of their health. I believe everyone is capable of positive change—sometimes all they need is the right guidance and support, which is why I’m excited to be apart of the work we’re doing here at Altered Athletics. It’s a privilege to support a space where women are truly seen and empowered to grow!
