Jared Mishlove
Founder & Team Lead
I founded Altered Athletics in 2019 with a mission to create a supportive, results-driven environment where every client can become the strongest version of themselves. With a background in powerlifting and a passion for holistic wellness, I lead our team with integrity, purpose, and a relentless commitment to your success.
Jared Mishlove
I founded Altered Athletics in 2019, inspired by my own journey of transformation. In high school, I struggled with substance abuse, but everything changed when I discovered the power of fitness. The false confidence I once sought in drugs and alcohol was replaced by genuine self-assurance, forged through daily dedication in the gym and a commitment to taking control of my health and life.
This profound shift not only led me to become a world-ranked powerlifter but also to earn a bachelor’s degree in Fitness & Wellness, coach strength and conditioning in Australia, and travel to 17 countries documenting fitness around the globe. Ultimately, it fueled my passion to become a certified personal trainer and gym owner.
At Altered Athletics, my mission is to empower every woman who steps through our doors to gain the confidence they deserve. Fitness has the power to change lives, and I’m here to help each woman discover that potential within herself.

Claire Kemp
With 13 years of ballet training starting in childhood, I developed a strong foundation in discipline, strength, and body awareness. My fitness journey took an exciting turn when my mom introduced me to powerlifting, sparking a passion for strength that inspired me to earn a Bachelor’s in Sports Science from Arizona State University.
Now, as a personal trainer, I’m committed to helping women lift heavy, build confidence, and redefine their relationship with fitness. Whether you’re just starting out in strength training or ready to elevate your routine, my mission is to empower you to embrace your strength—inside and out. Let’s break barriers together and build the confidence you deserve!

Ellie Reid
Personal Trainer
Strength and conditioning specialist focused on empowering clients to build both physical and mental strength.
Ellie Reid
Originally, I am from Bend, Oregon. Back in 2020/2021, I was a client at Altered Athletics when I moved here and quickly realized how much I loved the gym and being able to show up everyday with discipline and consistency for myself.
From that moment forward, I realized I wanted to be a personal trainer and help other women build confidence in and out of the gym, as well as building strength physically and mentally just like Altered Athletics did for me in the beginning of my fitness journey, so I got my NASM certification and began coaching!
The most fulfilling part about being a coach is seeing clients transform not only their bodies but their mindsets. You are capable of getting better at anything!
I am here to make a positive change in your fitness journey and get you results!

Paris Wright
Personal Trainer
Gymnastics background with a passion for movement, discipline, and helping other become the best version of themselves.
Paris Wright
Hi, I’m Paris Wright, and I’m so excited to be part of the team! I spent eight years as a competitive gymnast and two years in cheerleading, which built the foundation for my love of strength, discipline, and movement. I earned my Associate’s Degree in Exercise Science from Scottsdale Community College to further my understanding of the body and how to help people train smarter and stronger. Fitness has always been a place where I feel safe and grounded, and it’s helped me maintain a positive mindset in every area of my life outside of the gym. I’m truly passionate about empowering others to become the healthiest, strongest version of themselves, and I’m here to support you every step of the way!

Monique Blanchard
Personal Trainer
A former Altered Athletics client, Monique now helps women discover the confidence, resilience, and self-belief that transformed her own life.
Monique Blanchard
I first walked through the doors of Altered Athletics in 2019 as a client. Like many others, I was nervous to start. After a knee injury from pole vaulting in high school, I wasn’t sure what my body was capable of anymore.
What started as a way to get stronger physically quickly became so much more.
The gym gave me confidence, discipline, and a place to grow. Not just physically, but mentally. It taught me that strength isn’t measured by the weight on the bar, but by choosing to show up for yourself every day.
That experience changed my life so much that I left my career in civil engineering design to become a personal trainer. I wanted to help other women discover the same confidence, resilience, and self-belief that fitness gave me.
The most rewarding part of coaching isn’t just watching clients transform their bodies…it’s watching them realize how strong they truly are. Those moments when someone accomplishes something they never thought possible are why I love what I do.
To me, the gym is one of the greatest forms of self-love. My goal is to create a space where women feel supported, challenged, and empowered to become stronger…in the gym and in every part of their lives.

Micha Rivas
Personal Trainer
Micha specializes in women’s strength and fitness, helping clients build confidence and lasting strength through every season of life.
Micha Rivas
Hi, I’m Micha Rivas! I grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and landed in Phoenix after a few years in Los Angeles. I’m a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. I began my fitness journey at 17 during a hard chapter for my mental health, and it quickly became a safe place for me and a turning point in how I took care of myself. That’s what shaped how I coach now. For the last few years I’ve focused on women’s health and women’s fitness, especially the shifts we go through as we move from our early twenties into our thirties and forties, when our bodies and our needs start to change.
I love this work because strength changes how a woman lives, not just how she looks. Training gave me stability when I needed it most, and I want every woman I work with to find that same sense of capability in herself. Whether you’re picking up a barbell for the first time or coming back after a major life change, I want you to leave every session stronger than when you walked in. That’s what drew me to Altered Athletics. It’s a space where women are taken seriously, trained hard, and supported every step of the way, and I’m excited to help the women here build strength and confidence that carries into the rest of their lives
